NGEF kick-started the new school year with an opening grant round.
NGEF is pleased to offer three innovation grant cycles in 2024-2025, beginning with a back to school round to help educators get a head start on the year. Check out our Back to School Innovation Grant winners:
Princeton Community High School
Art teacher James Wallace received $500 to purchase new lightboxes for the studio.
Chemistry teach and Pinterest Club sponsor Carrie Wallace will purchase a utility cart and craft supplies with her $160 grant.
Life Skills teacher Niki Shepler's $200 grant will provide yoga mats for the life skills students as they practice emotional regulation.
Guidance Counselor Amanda Peterson received $360 to purchase sensory items for the high school reset room.
Work-based Learning teachers Rick Coleman and Will Niederhaus each received $500 to be used towards their "Dinnerview" project to be completed in the spring.
Princeton Community Middle School
Social Studies teacher Travis Connor received $450 to purchse studio lighting kits for the daily Tiger Talk production.
Princeton Community Intermediate School
5th grade techer Haylee Fouts will use her $210 grant award to purchase stools for students to use during centers.
5th grade teacher Samantha Mays received $350 to purchase STEM items as well Spanish-language books for her ESL students.
Princeton Community Primary School
Kindergarten teacher Abby Collins will purchase interactive items for math and language arts centers with her $290 grant.
2nd grade teacher Abigail Sparacino received $165 to purchase flexible seating and other toos to support student sensory and regulation needs.
1st grade teacher Nicole Pyle will also purchase flexible seating with her $500 grant award.
Speech-language pathologist Erin Stinson will use a $500 grant to develop regulation tool kits for students to use during transition times.
Behavior intervention specialist Miranda Kline received $450 towards flexible seating in the PCPS special education classrooms.
